Looking Sideways
The needle is trembling can I say
Once or so the mind is put into shape sprucely
Slanting askance toward one side
The needle escapes splendly
In the twinkling of an eye
It just happened can I say
While my eyes heel over towards you
Like the long laundry pole in the bygone yard
Keeling over under the lash of a rainstorm,
Somewhere in my cerebral cortex just now
Coming to dazzling life with uncanny light
How about that sort of needle
곁눈질
떨리는 바늘이랄까요
마음 한 번쯤 정갈하게 추스르고
한쪽으로 치우치는
바늘의 화려한 탈출이
눈 깜짝하는 사이에
일어났다 할까요
당신 쪽으로 눈이 쏠리다가
몰아치는 비바람에 기우뚱 쓰러지는
옛 마당 긴 빨래장대 같은 바늘,
내 대뇌피질 어느 곳에서 지금
희한한 빛으로 확 살아나는
그런 바늘이라면 어때
