Flower Vase

-- To the "Girl in White with a Bouquet" painted by Matisse (1919)

 

Within the room, a gentle current flows

Red flowers, white flowers, peach-colored cell division

A woman's gaze, tender yet distinct

 

As the current in the room grows stronger

Books take flight, and the table topples

 

Note on the Muse:

As I said before, when appreciating Matisse's painting, I believe the background is more important than the foreground. It's the same when you speak to someone. The background of your conversation matters more than the choice of words.
