Thigh

-- To the "Woman Sitting with Flowers" by Matisse (1942)

A vase packed with floral branches

And the chair has four legs

Resting on the S-shaped armrest, floral minds, floral minds

A fingerless right hand, a delicate touch

A persimmon-hued scarlet color

Scattered around by the enormous femoral muscles

It's already white, yellow spring vibes, spring vibes

Note on Muse:

I am enchanted with Matisse’s sense of color. His bold selection of color on the woman’s thigh reminds me of the overripe color of persimmon. In the latter part of April when the spring is getting more than ready to indulge.
