Pearl Necklace
-- To the 'Woman Seated before a Black Background' in Matisse’s painting (1942)
Pearl beads wander around, afloat.
In Y shapes, Y shapes.
Your neck’s front chills.
In the dark, many parentheses are hiding. They
stay still, soon to start moving.
Note on Muse:
Often, texts resemble signals, and we tend to be more drawn to visual sensations than abstract ones. Seeing is believing! Oh my, it seems as though scribblers should lower their heads to daubers.
