Poems for Matisse

|Poem| Warmth

Warmth

It's not your shape that seduces me.

It's the colors you generate purposely

that enter my soul seamlessly.

You’re a bundle of light seeking a place to rest

like a clarinet’s low resounding sound.

Note on Muse:

I am told that a simple statement can tug at the heartstrings. I am not familiar with how to hand the length of time, long or short. Maybe this is because I am mindful that, if the duration is too short, it’ll be slighted.
