Running Fast

 

Not much different from those four-legged animals

Take a gander at the flying birds, the black birds

Whose two forelegs that turned into the wings all out of the blue

 

The four legs of dragonflies transformed to rainbow-colored wings sidewise

 

In the just-right sun of the front yard, towards their mother

There were baby puppies running, foot-fast,

Fast they should run. From the slide ruthlessly sliding down

Like falling into the abyss of gravity, steadfast and triumphant

 

Hesitantly from the time you learn how to walk

Till the tide when you turn yourself around under the quilt grunting

The theory of evolution runs for a short season. Yeah, I

Feel the same. I also figure that the moment I am with you

May last just only for a short while

빨리 뛰기

네 발 동물이나 다름 없어

앞발 두 개가 슬그머니 날개로 바뀐

저 창공을 나르는 새, 검은 새들을 봐봐

 

잠자리는 네 발이 양 옆으로 무지개 빛 날개로 변했다네

 

양지 바른 앞마당에서 우르르 엄마를 향해

달려가던 새끼 강아지들, 발 빨리,

빨리 뛰어야 해. 미끄럼틀에서 쾌속으로

중력의 나락에 떨어지듯, 야무지게 당당하게

 

주춤주춤 걸음마를 배우고 나서부터

홑이불로 어깨를 덮고 옆으로 끙 하며 돌아 눕는 기간까지

진화론은 실로 짧은 시절을 뛰어간다. 응, 나도

동감이에요. 공감하는 순간 또한

잠깐이겠지만요
