Bare Skinned
Tall Hyungman. Yeongman who was my equal
My younger brother Hwangil. Eunju with distinct eyes.
Ferryboats, two ferryboats waver.
The yellow colored river water rippling. Memory
permeates knitting the brows.
The vivid scent of water in the wind. Memory
still bewildering us to this day
Poet’s Note:
When I was nine, I went to Ttukseom with Yeongman’s family. Caught
off guard with no swimsuit, I ended up taking a picture in my underwear.
