Grand Central Station
It’s warm all of a sudden
It’s taking off a half-coat in a flash
Gazing ahead, eyes closed. Standing for a moment
Very bright. High walls. Chick-yellow
Where to? The train you’re on
It’s a creaking stagecoach
The station pauses, breathing deep for a moment
Poet’s Note:
I visited Grand Central Station last November. I thought
about the stagecoaches of the Western or Joseon eras.
