Upperwear

-- To the woman in “Romanian Blouse” painted by Matisse (1940)

 

Blushing, even blushing

Docile eyes Tightly closed mouth

Sea-wave-color skirt Cotton-like cloud blouse

Text B or R engraved on both arms of the woman

Clenched hands No blood runs in her fingers, I figure

 

Note on the Muse:

The color of Matisse's woman’s face is the background color.

The background protrudes forward rather than the foreground.
