Bright yellow silhouette Distinct contour of chest, belly

V-shaped neckline Face with no eyes, nose, or mouth

Deep blue swirl of air currents

Yellow+White color, the astral projection done by the woman

 

Note on the Muse:

Matisse painted this when he was 81, 3 years before he died of

a heart attack, after he had suffered for 13 years from his stomach

cancer surgery aftereffect. Beautiful painting!
